There will be a short programme of speeches, readings from Glasgow University Creative writing students and weather permitting an opportunity to view the night sky.

Refreshments will be served.

11 September 2010 Arthur Bannister SATURDAY - North Lanarkshire Doors Open Day - 10am - 4:00pm (Closed for Lunch 12:30-1:30) - Airdrie Public Observatory is happy once again to participate in North Lanarkshire Council's Doors Open Day. The observatory will be open where members of the public can pop by and examine the 150 year old telescope for themselves and review the refurbishment work carried out last year.
